Remember the Blackberry?

And every business person carrying one in the early 2000’s? Then along came the iPhone and the Droid, literally wiping the Blackberry name off of household tongues.

Sure, Blackberry was still around… sort of. Some unfortunate delays on development of the next Blackberry devices allowed companies like Apple and Samsung to push their way to the front of the mobile device race. Blackberry was known for its breakthrough of on-the-go to access their e-mail wirelessly. Now this notion seems like a thing of the past. But with some of the features of the newly designed Blackberry Z10, such as a keyboard that learns a user’s writing style and suggests words and phrases to complete, instead of the typo corrections many mobile users have grown to loathe, are we hoping for a new prodigy from Research In Motion Ltd., creators of the new Blackberry, to prove us wrong?
The BlackBerry Z10 is also designed to run faster and enable people to separate personal and professional life with a feature called “Balance.” Another feature allows the user to easily switch between multiple applications by swiping the screen.
With the focus having been on iPhone and Droid, and now the recent developments of Windows and Google phones, will our phone obsessions turn back to Blackberry? Critics are skeptical, and so is Wall Street, since the RIM stock fell drastically on Wednesday after Blackberry’s launch event.

We live in a day and age where we rely on our phones. And if you’re in any kind of business, it is your lifeline to clients and partners. Will we give Blackberry another chance?
